Tongue Tie Assessment

Initial Home Visit- 60 minutes

Home visits are optimal for families who would like to have tailor-made feeding plans that fit your home environment. These visits include, “weighted feedings” which assess how much milk baby is transferring at the breast. This can be helpful when weaning from bottles. Includes 2 weeks of on-demand messaging support as well as intake call if paying out of pocket.

  • $300 out of pocket or free if covered by insurance

Follow-up Home Visit- 60 minutes

After we have done our initial consult, we come back to you to assess any follow up needs. These visits are ideal to assess any improvement in baby’s ability to transfer at the breast and when weaning from bottle feeding. Includes 2 weeks of on-demand messaging support if paying out of pocket.

  • $275 if out of pocket or free if covered by insurance

Prenatal visit- 30 minutes

Offered virtually. Set yourself up for success by scheduling a prenatal, one-on-one visit. Whether you are a first time mom, or feeding did not go as planned with previous babes. We will review prenatal hand expression, as well as feeding patterns to expect from your newborn in his or her first weeks.

  • $75 out of pocket or free through insurance

Virtual Visits- 60 minutes

If in-person is not an option for you, we offer virtual visits. Virtual visits are ideal if you have any questions or concerns that do not need in-person assessment. If your lactation consultant believes you need in-person follow up, she will provide you with the appropriate resources and referral information. This visit type may be ideal for general breastfeeding questions, prenatal visits, returning to work, weaning, plugged ducts, and mastitis.

  • $200 out of pocket or free through insurance

Prenatal Package

Ideal if you are a first time mamma and/or if feeding did not go as planned with previous babes. This plan includes, a 30 minute virtual prenatal visit, initial 60 minute home consult (offered virtually if preferred), follow-up 60 minute home visit, 2, 15 minute calls after each visit, and 2 weeks of messaging support.

  • $600 out of pocket

Home Visit Package

Offering initial, 60 minute home visit, 60 minute follow up home visit, 2, 15 minute follow up calls, and 2 weeks of messaging support.

  • $550

Or- Initial 60 minute home visit with 30 minute follow up call and 2 weeks of messaging support if paying out of pocket.

    If paying through insurance, there may be a home visit concierge fee. Pricing listed under visit type.

    For an additional 30 minutes per visit, there will be a $50 surcharge.

    A 20% surcharge may be applied if out of service area and/or for weekend visits.

    Nightingale lactation is now accepting most insurances through the Lactation Network! Please click here to check if you are eligible!

    If your insurance is not accepted though The Lactation Network, your lactation consultant will provide you with a document called a “super bill” to submit to insurance with ICD codes included.

    Cost and Insurance

    Under the Affordable Care Act, health insurance plans must cover counseling and breastfeeding supplies for pregnant and nursing women. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be able to get help with breastfeeding at no cost to you. Check with your insurance company to find out more. See link below for more information on this.
