After months of troubleshooting why our feeding sessions were so hard without success, I invited Katie to my home for more individualized advice. It was so nice working with her in the setting that I feed my baby in every day, and she was able to get an up close look at our struggles and offer her input. When she assessed my baby’s suck and said that she suspected a tongue tie, my mind replayed the words of the providers who told us that tongue-tied babies don’t gain weight the way my daughter was gaining weight and dismissed it as a possibility.
